Yippie! The student munity of 2006. We rock. And we create history. This being the first post I would like to brief all our loyal readers about our rebellious nature and how erect our backbones are.

To beging with all hail the Union Leader(in case you dont get whom I am refering to, it is our class representative in our 1st semester). Thats what my HOD christened her and her succssors to be (and I am proud to be one now). Okay, it was our first sem in college and my class right from the beginning possessed the quality of standing up for each other and standing up for our rights against all odds. Having given that brief into, let me now narrate to you one incident that will stand out in the history of my department.

It was college sports day, we were required to attend the events on an assigned day so that we could boost the morale of the participants. But we sure did not have any such intentions. The only reason we landed up at the Nehru Outdoor Stadium was for attendance, you read it right I said attendance. About two hours in the stadium, listening to songs, gossipping, cleaging the seats to make ourselves comfortable, out of the blue hooting and screaming like mad hatters, we were having a ball.

Then we decided enough is enough, too much of too good is too bad. I mean, the college expected us to go back to college at 12 after all that for a course on Audiography, where we did nothing but sleep. For some wierd reason the wavelength of the lecturer and the students never did match.

It was munity time.

We mass bunked. 56 students students from Nehru Stadium who were to return to college, just did not do so. They headed back home, restaurants, theatres and I am not sure where else.

History was made.

The HOD was wild, she even declined to teach us anything in the semesters to come. We were made to stand for an hour or so if I remember rightly. It was something unheard of in the the history of my college. The second batch of journalism had created ripples in the college. We dared to do it. Since then the qualities of my class have been doing the rounds.

I am proud of my calss.

In the posts to come you will get to read the other daring activities we as a class have embarked on.
